  16. Hello! I was looking for a picture that I thought represented pain and I came across the picture you used in your July post. I read the post and had to tell you, I loved the post. If you don’t mind me asking, is it written from personal experience? Do you suffer from pain daily or is this just something you were able to put together and it flowed well for you? If you feel comfortable enough to share that would be great. I will be following your blog. 🙂 Have a great day!
    Tammy

    • Hey Tammy, im glad to see that you enjoyed the poem, it was written from the memory of a period of my life where i was always in pain for some sort of reason, of course at that time i thought it was the worst time and i would never be able to outlive it, but now that i look back i see that it was something that i had to go through, and my journey to finding happiness is never ending, Welcome to my blog, i really hope you will enjoy my poems.. 😀

  22. Hi. Thank you for visiting my blog today and writing the nice comment about my most recent post. I really enjoy reading your nice poems, so I subscribed to your blog today. I hope to hear from you again soon. Cheers!

  23. That is quite a collection of emoticons for your comment section. A lot of emotions here. It’s nice to see that.

Your poems are splendid, for my taste. They are clear, simple and very accessible in that their descriptions are trenchant so that I can recreate all you speak of properly. I like them. I’ll stick around. You bounced along my blog and shared some pleasing words, thanks.

    • oohh.. thank you so much, it feels me with emotions i cant explain as well every time i see how people respond to my poems. This makes me very happy. thank you.. 🙂

  26. La Belle Dame Sans Merci

O what can ail thee, knight-at-arms,
    Alone and palely loitering?
The sedge has withered from the lake,
    And no birds sing.

O what can ail thee, knight-at-arms,
    So haggard and so woe-begone?
    The squirrel’s granary is full,
    And the harvest’s done.

I see a lily on thy brow,
    With anguish moist and fever-dew,
And on thy cheeks a fading rose
    Fast withereth too.

I met a lady in the meads,
    Full beautiful—a faery’s child,
Her hair was long, her foot was light,
    And her eyes were wild.

I made a garland for her head,
    And bracelets too, and fragrant zone;
She looked at me as she did love,
    And made sweet moan

I set her on my pacing steed,
And nothing else saw all day long,
For sidelong would she bend, and sing
    A faery’s song.

She found me roots of relish sweet,
    And honey wild, and manna-dew,
And sure in language strange she said—
    ‘I love thee true’.

She took me to her Elfin grot,
And there she wept and sighed full sore,
And there I shut her wild wild eyes
    With kisses four.

And there she lullèd me asleep,
And there I dreamed—Ah! woe betide!—
The latest dream I ever dreamt
    On the cold hill side.

I saw pale kings and princes too,
    Pale warriors, death-pale were they all;
They cried—‘La Belle Dame sans Merci
    Hath thee in thrall!’

I saw their starved lips in the gloam,
    With horrid warning gapèd wide,
And I awoke and found me here,
    On the cold hill’s side.

And this is why I sojourn here,
    Alone and palely loitering,
Though the sedge is withered from the lake,
    And no birds sing.

    -John Keats

There are a number of paintings by the Pre-Raphaelite with the same title. Check out wikipedia.
