I stand in the darkness perplexed
Trying to find the switch to no avail
Have been asleep for days
Yet the sun does not appear
Round and round i go searching for a way out
Shadows linger waiting for my last breath
I hear sounds of freedom and radiance flowing from afar
Just as I see a ray of hope
Gloom engulfs me once more
Like a flower i wilt to my inevitable demise

this is great. whether the rains falling or the suns shining, we have to stumble through the darkness to see the light.
We definitely do have to go through some darkness once in a while.. 🙂
If there were no shadows, we would be left unaware of the light beams breaking through. If we were not perplexed enough to strain to listen and listen and listen, we would never hear sounds of freedom and radiance! Yes, when we become still enough to really listen and to really look, we receive enough light and enough encouraging sound to find our way through the shadows. Again I noticed the upper case and lower cased i! If only I was any good at literary analysis…it does sound like a person in a coma. Trapped, and perhaps not understanding why.
